Yeah, so I'm becoming quite a bit less active on both the forums (not that there's been much activity in the forums anyway) and the IRC channel, starting from Monday 7th of July (or 07/07/200

Wanna know why?

This is why.

So from what I've heard about the vacationses, it'll be most of the weekends. Depending on the cost of the travelthing, I might be home on weekendses.

If I decide that I hate it so effin' much that I won't stand for that sort of bullshit, I'll prolly get that watchamacallit... release from service due to insanity / internet addiction (we'll see which one kicks in first

).

Wish me luck. Or, if you are/feel like a prick / you can't be arsed / you just don't feel like it / you didn't notice this thread untill I was already gone (pick appropriate), don't.

Yes, you'll need luck with that attitude of yours with people(that is meant in a more friendly, yet sarcastic, tone than that implies). Still I hope you'll do fine, which you will if you give yourself a chance to.

Would have noticed this thread sooner if I wasn;t in Spain for a week. However, I guess I'm still in time.

Wish you the best of luck doing what you have to do to make your nation proud, which often means nothing excessively useful.

Methinks it's mainly the diagnosis itself ('though I did experience some stress due to the drastic change of things, i.e. little to no familiar things and an abundance of new things, be it people, furniture, living environment or even behavioural expectations).

Dispite expectations, I'm here as well.

Because I did this.

I'm apalled by the reactions of people both there and my relatives of my choice. There they threatened to put me in prison for 160 days, if I wasn't perfectly honest of my conviction. I will not go to the matter of my relatives, for the comfort of fellow forumers.

All in all, the Army wasn't a bad place. In fact I was getting used to it, but my consicience and morals ultimately won and I reguested to be put to Civil Service after a week of armed service. I must say that my housing buddies(9 other privates & a alikersantti) were a bloody good bunch and I was genuinely saddened to leave them.
