Can anyone tell/show me where I can get a image editor for free that can be used for the Notrium textures?
New favour I'm asking to now can someone make me a crature texture cause I can't make textures from scratch only modify existing ones the creature is the Grim Reaper and to go with that I'll need a bullet texture for his scythe. Thank you in advance generous time giver.

Use Gimp. Never don't use anything else. It's better than Photoshop because it still has goodies being added on to it.

Erm. Photoshop is still in development. Adobe would be kind of stupid to drop it.

Anyway, if GIMP doesn't float your boat, there's still Paint.NET which is a bit more intuitive.

You mean add transparency to a picture? Note that there isn't such a thing as a "transparent color" in PNGs, they have an alpha layer that defines transparency, it's an additional layer next to the RGB color layers.

Anyway, add an alpha channel to the current layer by Layer > Transparency > Add alpha channel. You can then just use the eraser to add transparency, or you can use advanced tricks with masks and stuff - I redirect you to tutorials. The Color to Alpha filter can also be handy at times but remember it acts on the entire file. Don't forget to save as PNG if you want to keep the transparency.

If that sound too complicated for you then you can just go to file -> new and select transparency under advanced options in the "fill with" bit. Also note that with Gimp all the fancy editing comes from Filter -> (choose your thingy) on an open file. You can do lot's all fancy stuff with no skill necessary. *points to avatar*

klavinor if your willing to edit it, why not just draw up a dodgy looking one and edit that to be good, like just draw some black circles with a stick scythe.

In general, a "can someone do part of this for me" ends up being seen as simply "can someone do this for me", and nobody likes to do other people's work for free. So I'd suggest giving your best shot at creating the graphic yourself, showing us the results, and we can give you feedback.
