Arthur C. Clarke, famous science fiction author, inventor and futurist died in Sri Lanka, March 19 of 2008.

The British Interplanetary Society (of which Clarke was former chairman and lifelong member) has opened a Book of Condolences which can by signed by visitors to the offices in South Lambeth Road, London.

What a pity... Coincidentally, I'm right now in the middle of reading one of his books.

He was a visionary and a superb writer.
