Driftmoon Crash

Hello, Driftmoon crashes on my system.

Which is Windows XP, with an older 32-bit AMD CPU.

The error is an illegal instruction exception, and I think it's related to the use of SSE* instructions, maybe the code is not supported by older non-Intel architectures.

This is pure speculation on my part.

Maybe this is a hint for me to upgrade.

I'm afraid you're exactly correct - it's the SSE. I pondered long over requiring it, but in the end I decided to use it because of the performance boost it gave to the game.

Actually the game should give you a proper error message and not crash, so that at least is a bug.

This is generally the right idea; CPUs without SSE/2 compatibility have to be pretty old, and would probably have trouble running Driftmoon anyway.
